Walsingham is a lovely place of pilgrimage for Catholic and other Christians.
In the Slipper Chapel, the Catholic national shrine and Basilica of Our Lady, stands a replica of the famous Mary statue with Jesus on her lap. Many Christians have found answers to their prayers in Walsingham. In the middle ages, Walsingham used to be one of the most important places of pilgrimage.
We have attended this years’ pilgrimage for Children led by the diocesan bishop Allan Hopes.
