Wird Grossbritannien aus der EU aussteigen? Diese aktuelle Frage wird am 23. Juni 2016 vom britischen Volk beantwortet.
Auch mich beschäftigt das Thema. Ich fühle mich betroffen, da ich selbst Britin bin und in England geboren bin. Zwar kann ich darüber nicht abstimmen, da ich seit mehr als 15 Jahren als Expatin in der Schweiz weile, doch eine Meinung dazu habe ich mir trotzdem gebildet!
Brexit (der Begriff ist eine Wortkombination aus “Britain” und “Exit”) ist auch eine gute Gelegenheit, sich mit den Kindern darüber ein Bild zu machen, wie die EU funktioniert, und festzustellen, welche Länder zur EU gehören, resp. nicht gehören.
Für alle, die es interessiert, was ich abstimmen würde: Ich bin für den Ausstieg! Kurz begründet: Ich mag Vielfalt statt Einheitsbrei. Ich mag Unabhängigkeit und Selbstverwaltung. Grossbritannien sei originell! Auch die Schweiz ist ausserhalb der EU und es lässt sich gut so leben. 😉
Mein 8-Jähriger meinte unabhängig von meiner Meinung: “England braucht doch die EU nicht! Sie haben ja schon eine Vereinigung: das Vereinigte Königreich!” Daumenhoch!

The subject also engages me. I feel concerned, because I am British and was born in England. I can’t give my vote though, because I have been living for more than 15 years as an expat in Switzerland. But I have made my own opinion!
Brexit (the term is a combination of “Britain” and “Exit”) is also a useful chance to learn with the kids, about how the EU works and which countries belong to the EU and which ones not.
For all who are interested what I would vote for: I am for leaving the EU! Briefly, my reasons: I like diversity instead of monotony. I like independence and self-government. Great Britain, be original! Switzerland is also not in the EU and we live well like that. 😉
My 8 year old son said, independent from my opinion: “England doesn’t need an union! They have one already: the United Kingdom!” Thumbs up!
